But these are common aftermarket accessories upgrades and so is installing a ECU Module.

Have you ever heard of anyone’s warranty being dishonoured by installing better quality aftermarket speakers to their vehicle? All of our ECU Modules are programed to operate within the manufactures safe engine settings. All Modules and associated components can be completely removed without leaving any traces of operation on vehicle standard ECU units before visiting vehicle dealer if you choose to remove.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”Can I install my ECU Module?”][vc_column_text]Yes… If you are slightly mechanically minded you are welcome to follow the installation instructions provided and install the unit yourself. Some models may require extra accessories to be installed to allow the ECU module to operate correctly ie: Boost controllers, Rail blank kits. If you are not familiar with theses components, we recommend you use Diesel Power Unlimited approved installers http://www.dieselpowerunlimited.com.au/dealers.html Or a Certified Mechanical Specialist.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”Does my engine revert to stock operation when the ECU Module is removed?”][vc_column_text]Yes… If you decide to remove the module unit and associated tunning components for any reason, it will return to factory settings.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”What’s the difference between Chips, Modules and Remapping?”][vc_column_text]Cheap chip units simply increase fuel rail pressures, usual outside manufacturers standard settings which could do major damage to the vehicles fuel systems. Most are made of poor components and run simple software that can fail in time.

ECU Remapping is an evasive operation for most Australian providers. It’s a process where the Engines Control Unit is removed from the vehicle and opened by breaking the original sealing around the housing exposing the circuit board. Programing equipment is then attached (occasionally soldered connections are used) to permanently download new operating software. The problems inherent with this is all manufactures warranties are voided because of breaking open the original sealed ECU and operations of the new software can be detected through manufactures scan tooling. When dealers complete a vehicle systems update you will need to have your remap software uploaded again. Also if the installed software fails or damages the original ECU the entire ECU will need to be replaced and can be very expensive exercise. ECU remapping should only be applied through the vehicles OBD port if you choose this option and we only recommend using the DPU dealer network for this service.

Modules are most simply put as a piggy back computer that sits in front of the factory ECU and analyses the intercepted signals that the factory ECU computer sends through to the engine. Once that information is gathered by the Module, it adjusts those signals to a more optimum operation setting and forwards the new data to the required components to adjust for an increased performance of operation at a lesser effort for the engine. Modules are a fantastic tool that adjust all parameters of the vehicle combustion system. Not just by increasing the engines fuel pressures. That’s why we can make adjustments with engine safety in mind. All associated components with combustion are adjusted equally, that’s why not just one component is placed under excess loads or pressures to try to gain that greater engine performance.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”Can I use my ECU Module on another vehicle?”][vc_column_text]Yes… if the other vehicle runs the exact same engine package as the previous vehicle, including fuel systems the module can be interchanged (please contact us if you require further information).[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”Can I get custom tuning maps?”][vc_column_text]Yes… If you have replaced other engine components ie: Turbos, Intercoolers or Injector sizing, you maybe requiring customized tuning maps for your ECU Module to complement your other engine modifications (please contact us for further information).[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][/edgtf_accordion][vc_empty_space height=”60px”][edgtf_section_title title_text=”Pedalbox” highlighted_text=”FAQ” text_align=”left” icon_pack=”font_awesome” fa_icon=””][vc_empty_space height=”40px”][edgtf_accordion style=”accordion” color_style=”white”][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”Can I install my Pedalbox?”][vc_column_text]Yes… Quite an easy procedure of simply unplugging your factory accelerator pedal cable connections and plugging in the Pedalbox wiring connections. Adjust the Pedalbox to your desired settings with the soft touch hand controller and you’re away.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”Will my Pedalbox increase engine power outputs?”][vc_column_text]No… Pedal Modules or Electronic Throttle Controller Units do not increase the engines HP output, it simply adjusts the way the vehicles engine power is delivered through the accelerator use.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”How many settings does the Pedalbox have?”][vc_column_text]20x pre-programed settings for adjustment to deliver many different accelerator responses at your desire.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][edgtf_accordion_tab title=”Will the Pedalbox save on Fuel cost?”][vc_column_text]Yes… Pedalbox can improve your vehicles fuel consumption rate by delivering a smoother power control over the accelerator usage.[/vc_column_text][/edgtf_accordion_tab][/edgtf_accordion][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][edgtf_section_title title_text=”Ask us” highlighted_text=”anything.” text_align=”left” icon_pack=”font_awesome” fa_icon=””][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1614751702335{padding-top: 35px !important;}”]You can contact us directly to ask any questions you have.
